2027 Filing Season · Tax Year 2026
Professional tax software access, managed by a service bureau.
R&A Pro-Tax Software Solutions™ provides independent tax offices with authorized access to professional tax software, plus the onboarding, bank-product coordination, training, and support that make the software usable on day one.
How the relationship works
Three parties, three distinct roles.
The software platform
The underlying professional tax preparation platform is developed and maintained by TaxSlayer. R&A Pro-Tax does not build, own, or warrant that platform.
R&A Pro-Tax — your service bureau
R&A manages authorized access, office setup, bank-enrollment assistance, training, Office Success™ case management, and first-line support. Your agreement is with R&A Business Software Solutions LLC.
ROSSNEXUS™ — the operating layer
The portal, CRM, document vault, training academy, ticketing, and automation you use to run the office are powered by the ROSSNEXUS™ ecosystem. ROSSNEXUS is technology attribution — never the seller or contracting party.
Included capabilities
What your office can do with it.
Individual & business return preparation
AvailableFederal and state preparation for 1040 and supported business returns on the underlying professional platform.
Electronic filing through your EFIN
AvailableReturns are transmitted under your own IRS-issued EFIN. R&A does not file on your behalf.
Multi-preparer office setup
AvailablePreparer logins, office structure, and permissions configured during onboarding.
Mobile taxpayer app access
AvailableTaxpayer document capture and status. Links are issued to your office after purchase and onboarding.
Bank-product integration
Separate ActivationRefund-transfer and advance programs through participating banks, subject to separate bank approval.
Prior-year return access
AvailablePrior-year preparation availability depends on the platform release for the 2026 tax year.
In-season software updates
AvailablePlatform, form, and calculation updates are released by the software provider through the season.
Office-level reporting
PreviewReturn volume and status reporting inside the software; deeper office analytics live in the CRM layer.
Bank-product requirements
- Bank enrollment is a separate application submitted to a participating bank, with its own terms and approval decision.
- Participating bank programs impose funded-return minimums. Your minimum is confirmed in writing during enrollment — never quoted from this page.
- R&A assists with enrollment, document collection, and status tracking. R&A does not approve applications and cannot guarantee approval.
- Fee structures, advance availability, and disbursement options are set by the bank each season.
Availability & third-party dependencies
IRS EFIN
Your office must hold a valid, active EFIN. R&A does not issue, lend, or share EFINs.
PTIN for each preparer
Every individual preparing returns for compensation must hold a current PTIN.
Software provider release schedule
Availability of forms, states, and prior-year modules follows the provider's release calendar, not R&A's.
Bank program approval
Bank products require a separate application and approval by the bank. Approval is never guaranteed.
Completed onboarding
Access credentials are issued only after purchase, agreement execution, and onboarding requirements are satisfied.
Access delivery
Software logins and mobile-app links are issued after purchase and onboarding.
There is no public demo environment and no public software URL. Credentials are never posted, emailed in plain text, or shared over chat. When your office record is provisioned, access details are delivered to your authorized contact inside the secure client portal, and your Office Success™ representative confirms first login with you.
Mobile app links
Issued with your software access after provisioning.
Training
Academy assignments are attached to your office record.
Support
Ticketed support through the portal and Support page.
